Proud ‘Penguin Power’ Moments in School Sport

Penguin Power on the Pitch, Court and Track
Our pupils have enjoyed another fantastic period of sporting success, demonstrating teamwork, determination and excellent sporting spirit across a wide range of events.
Highlights included:
- Kirby Shield Champions: Our Year 5/6 mixed football team won the final 1-0.
- District Finalists: One of our netball teams progressed to the district finals after winning their competition.
- County Gymnastics Champions: Our Level 1 gymnastics team won gold at the Count Finals, with our Level 4 team securing bronze. Individual successes included county champion performances and outstanding placings across the competition.
- Badminton Champions: Our Year 6 badminton team won the LSB Primary Schools Doubles Competition for the fourth consecutive year, finishing 1st, 2nd and 4th overall.
- Football Success: Our Year 5/6 girls reached the Tony Moore Cup Final and the Leicester City Primary Stars Final, while another girls' team progressed to the semi-finals with a 5-0 victory.
- Cricket Achievement: Our girls' cricket A team finished an impressive 3rd place overall.
- Hockey Success: Several hockey teams represented the school brilliantly, with teams achieving 3rd place finishes and semi-final appearances.
- Speed Stacking Champions: Our team returned with medals and the compeition trophy.
- Cross Country Excellence: One pupil achieved an outstanding 3rd place in the County Cross Country Championships. Alongside these achievements, pupils represented the school in swimming, basketball, dodgeball, handball, archery, badminton and foootball festivals, often competing for the first time. We are incredibly proud of every child who has represented the school, showing resilience, respect and a positive attitude in every event.
